Of course, those percentages don’t show the percentage of the population that loves living there, but I think that it’s a good relative indication.

The complete search query was: “I love [city]” [state] -buy
This was to weed out products relating to the city. and cities by the same name in other states (and countries).

According to these statistics, Fort Collins is the best place to live (there’s even a facebook group called “I Bet Fort Collins Can get 200,000 fans before any other Colorado City.” Unfortunately, Fort Collins has way less than 200,000 residents.

The query {“I love Fort Collins” Colorado -shirt} generated (a few) less hits than {“I love Fort Collins” Colorado – buy}. It must be a damned fine shirt!

Above, each of the top 10 places to live in the US (according to Money Magazine) is marked along with its ranking.
We can compare how many people live in each town with how many people actually love living there.

1) Eden Prairie, MN
2) Columbia/Ellicott City, MD
3) Newton, MA
4) Bellevue, WA
5) McKinney, TX
6) Fort Collins, CO
7) Overland Park, KS
8) Fishers, IN
9) Ames, IA
10) Rogers, AR
I wonder how these were determined (especially McKinney, Texas).
